A Teacher’s Poem

You are Special

Every single day you educate students. You are not just a teacher but a special friend.

Kids fight. You are there. Willing to listen. Willing to defend.

A boy in class said, “Teacher, I don’t understand!”

“Okay, I’ll explain it again.” the teacher replied.

Many sleepless nights, you always try to figure out how to make the lesson easier to understand.

Sometimes you think, frustrated and tired, “Oh, I need a magic wand.”

Your heart is always filled with love and passion for teaching that uplifts your soul.

There are times when you feel broken and unmotivated, but your students’ smiles make you whole.

Teaching is a profession. A vocation, as others describe it.

“How to be an effective teacher?” I asked myself. The answer may be infinite.

Teachers tailor their teaching to gain new skills and achieve a specific learning outcome.

Reflective teaching is imperative to differentiate lessons, but specifically, teachers are a fountain of wisdom.

You are a role model – a source of good values.

I salute YOU for being knowledgeable and patient, although we have different views.

You see the potential in every individual.

Intrinsically, you are optimistic and intellectual, and that makes you SPECIAL.
